GROOVY FEELING (8) resumed here last week with a win, scoring by 0.3L after sitting back in the run. Suspect he may sit a touch closer today from the inside barrier and the rating he put up there was very solid. Up in weight now, but has a fitness edge and can score back-to-back wins. ARGENTO OCEAN (2) showed enough in his debut campaign to suggest he wouldn't be a maiden for long. His two trials this time in have just been iffy, but the tongue tie goes on now and a return to the races can see him return in good order. SEA EMERALD (1) was solid at the trials recently after showing glimpses in his first two starts. He never really got into the race here fresh before a good run at Happy Valley. He may be able to sit closer from a better barrier today and it wouldn't surprise to see him right in the finish. LUCKY MCQUEEN (11) won a recent trial and looks ready to fire first-up from a good gate.
