Star Pelaw Race 2

245mtrs (Or)

Stake: $1,286

APPLEWOOD GIRL (6) jumped from the outside last start and was game in defeat when a 0.8 lengths second (15.37) behind Malibu Jota at this track. Good form should continue. WESTFIELD CRUSE (2) has trialled nicely since finishing midfield at his debut run at this track (15.82). Can hit the frame this time. WESTFIELD BASIL (5) had trap 5 and was game in defeat when only 1.5 lengths from Lincoln Sonnet in third (19.13) at Nottingham. Form from his last run is proving to be solid. Leading chance. WESTFIELD SAGE (1) returns from a three-and-a-half months layoff and must be included.

Was out of the placings at final run of debut campaign, finishing fifth (22.01) at Nottingham before going for a three-and-a-half months spell. Looks a strong place chance.

Fair debut over 245m at this track where he settled off pace and boxed on to finish fifth (15.82). Likely to be much improved on the experience. Looks a strong winning hope.

Has been in great form, scoring two in a row before finishing second (15.37) last time at this track over 245m. Close to the speed and boxed on well at the latest run. Key chance again.
